Chelsea Schlievert grew up in northeast Nebraska. She has a master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Kansas and has worked in various fields of education and the arts at institutions such as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She currently lives in Seattle and works at the University of Washington.
Chelsea’s publications have appeared primarily in academic and professional journals, such as Women’s Studies, Journal of Cultural Research in Art Education, and Journal of the History of Collections. She has recently started exploring personal essay writing and thanks Kawsmouth for the opportunity to share some of it here.
