Jason finished his classwork a for a B.F.A. in painting from the University of Kansas in 1994 and promptly moved to Key West, Florida. He received his degree in 1997 after discovering he had $125 in unpaid library fines. He currently lives in Kansas City, Kansas with his wife and daughter.
