Mel Neet is a Kansas City writer and 2014 writer-in-residence with Charlotte Street Foundation Studio Residency Program. Her favorite word is in situ; her least favorite is content (the short ‘o’ pronunciation used for indicating online text, as she has nothing against the word as a state of being). She’s been published in Brooklyn Rail, Joplin Storm Anthology and her 40-line narrative Looking for Inspiration appears in the 2011 Missouri Arts Council Annual Report.
